Chimney Cleaning
Chimney cleaning is the simplest form of maintenance performed on your chimney. We use a high powered dust vaccuum by your fireplace or wood stove to
prevent soot from escaping and getting into your room. Most chimneys can be cleaned with either a round or flat wired brush, but sometimes mechanical cleaning is necessary.
Mechanical cleaning uses a drill with rods and chains do flake the creosote off the inside walls of your flue tiles. There are also some chemical methods we can use to help reduce
creosote buildup between cleanings. After cleaning the chimney we use our Chim-Scan to check out the interior of your flue to ensure it's in good enough shape to use.
Chimneys should be cleaned annually according to the National Fire Prevention Association Standard 211 for Solid Fuels. We offer a 10% discount on inspection and cleaning for our
annual customers who schedule their cleaning before the end of August of each year.
